Her foolish lips have now confessed.
She's already predicted this outcome,
She'll undoubtedly be less than impressed.
Is she losing sight of what is real?
Setting her sights on something that isn't?
Longing for the one she'll never have,
In her plight she feels so imprisoned.
She's built her tower of disappointment,
Now she's waiting for the blocks to fall.
The thoughts, the illusion, the feelings,
It was her own senseless judgment call.
She fell in love with an untouchable face,
Eyes that will never see her the same.
Once again, she'll feel the sting of rejection,
That seems to be her claim to fame.
An empty wish to hear that pretty mouth tell,
The words she pines for her to say...
"Perhaps I could feel that way about you..."
And, perhaps pigs will fly one day.
